Afghan Special Forces (SF) reportedly killed two key seniors commanders of the Taliban group during a special operation conducted in eastern Laghman province of Afghanistan.
According to the provincial government media office in a statement, the Afghan Special Conducted air and ground operations on a hideout of the Taliban in Alingar district late on Saturday night.
The statement further noted that two key local Taliban leaders Baryalai and Dawood were killed alongside four other terror combatants. Three other Taliban suspects were arrested during the SF raid.
According to the governor’s office and referenced by various open sources, Baryalai and Dawood were involved in major terrorist related activities for a long period of time and were still conducting militancy in Alingar.
Humiliated Taliban group has not yet commented on the report.
