SNA forces on Sunday night killed a senior Al-Shabaab commander in Gedo region.
The slain Shabaab commander was identified as Abdullahi Qannas who Gedo area terrorist field commander.
The killing took place in Tulo-barwaqo village when the SNA forces attacked a convoy of Al-Shabab operatives who are heading to training camp located there, according open sources reports.
Tulo-barwaqo, located approximately 18 kilometers from Garbaharey town, the capital region of Gedo.
In the past few years, dozens of Al-Shabaab senior commanders have been killed in U.S and KDF airstrikes and attack by Somali forces.
SNA and AMISOM troops vow to continue with counter operations an effort to pacify southern Somalia region which has greatly be used by the Al-Qaeda linked Al-Shabaab as launching pad for attacks.
