Indian intelligence has reported that 14 students who are suspected ISIS recruits were arrested at Hyderabad Airport on their way to Iraq and Syria.
The state and central intelligence agencies in India started an operation that is aimed at identifying suspected ISIS recruits after Ateef Waseem from Abdilabad died while fighting for the Islamic State.

The intelligence agencies are conducting thorough verification of students with suspicious links in a bid to combat the recruitment of youths into the Islamic State.
Police have been reported to give counseling to the student recruits and monitor them closely as they are required to stay within the area.
Indian Intelligence has reported that most suspected ISIS recruits who are students are majorly engineering students but they come from different colleges.
The operation by the intelligence agency and the police to counsel and monitor the students goes a long way in deradicalization of the youth. Some returnees who had joined the Islamic State have also been at the forefront in the deradicalization process as they expressed the bad conditions there.
