The Pakistani parliament on Friday affirmed its nation that it will remain neutral in the ongoing Yemen conflict despite the joint efforts by other countries in the war against the Houthi rebels.
The resolution which was unanimously passed and had been debated on for some time implied that Pakistan’s failure to support Saudi Arabia meant that the nation would only come in handy in case of violation of its territory during the war.
Pakistani which has now joined Turkey as the peace brokers has however called on the United Nations and Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) to take a pro-active role in fostering dialogue to end the conflict.
