Latest Somali army operations have seen Rahole, Biyo-dhale and Bandhub villages in southwestern region of Bay liberated.
Joint military operations from AMISOM troops backing SNA have seen over a dozen Al-Shabaab militants killed and key villages in Bay including Rahole, Biyo-dhale and Bandhub captured from them.
Several militants also wounded in the operations, military assets in southern Bay region of Somalia confirms.
Ibrahim Mohamed Nour Shigshigow, the mayor of Dinsor town, said the operation will continue until Bay region is cleared of the Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab militants.
The operation came days after bomb explosion claimed by Al-Shabaab near a police station in Dinsor town, killed at least five Somali people and wounded four others.
