9,800 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, a key ingredient in the making of explosives has been seized by Afghan border police, at Torkham crossing with Pakistan.
The explosives were hidden in fruit boxes in a Pakistani lorry. Four people involved in the smuggling have been arrested.
The latest seizure happened hours before a high-level Afghan security delegation led by National Security Adviser Mohammad Hanif Atmar visited Pakistan, where the sides agreed to enhance cooperation for reduction of violence in the region
