The National Police Service (NPS) has circulated the photo of suspected AlShabaab terror operative identified as Anthony Mbele Munyasya alias Abdalla.
Intelligence reports indicate that Munyasya fled to Somalia after he torched a church in Kitui together with a group youths. Police records show that Munyasya was a habitual offender prior to fleeing to Somalia.
Intelligence reports indicate that Munyasya has been fighting alongside Al-Shabaab in Somalia since 2014. He is a close associated of Abdimajit Hassan, another terror suspect who is currently facing terror charges for planning to conduct attacks in Nairobi.
Hassan was arrested in January after a Vehicle Borne Explosive Device was recovered by police in Merti, Isiolo County.
Police who believe Munyasya has sneaked back into the country warn describe him as a highly trained operative, armed and dangerous who has evaded a number of security operations to arrest him.
Police are calling on members of the public to remain vigilant and to offer any information on Munyasya Abdalla whereabouts and activities to the authorities near them.
