Fear and tension had engulfed the residents of Garowe after it was reported that 10 Al-Shabaab inmates had escaped from a rehabilitation center in Garowe on the night of Sunday 25th February 2018
Following the incident, joint security operation was launched same night to hunt down the 10 inmates who were undergoing a psychological counseling at the center
Tuesday 27th February2018, security forces arrested four Al-Shabaab inmates. Operation to hunt down six inmates who are still on the run is going on.
Authorities in Puntland also investigating how the underage ex-militants managed to escape on Sunday night from the rehabilitation center at the heavily fortified compound.
