Minister for security of Jubbaland state Hon. Abdirashid Hassan Abdinuur in a press conference has confirmed that 38 al Shabaab have been killed by security forces. The Minister confirmed that 38 al-Shabaab fighters were killed in operations during the weekend in lower Juba, especially Berhaani, Kanjaroon, Arare, and Jamaamme areas.
He further said that the operations would continue with increased cooperation between Somali National Army and Jubbaland forces. The al Shabaab has suffered huge losses in the past week seeing as they have been attacked by reinforced SNA, US airstrikes and ground assaults on their camps.
