A Ohio man linked in planning attacks against the US and its military members will be sentenced to a jail term after he admitted of his terror plots.
The terror figure identified as Abdirahman Sheik Mohamud is scheduled to appear in federal court in Columbus on Jan 22.
The court documents unsealed last year show that Mohamud pleaded guilty more than two years ago to terrorism charges.
Government prosecutors want the judge to impose a 23-year sentence saying Mohamud tried to cover up dangerous terrorist activities.
The 26-year-old Mohamud also admitted to have recruited others into a jihadist group when he returned to the US from Syria where he was receiving training.
