Ismael Shosi, a top Al-Shabaab operative and recruiter was today (Tuesday 27th September 2016) killed by anti-terror detectives in Kisauni area of Mombasa.
Anti-terror detectives raided the rented house of the wanted terrorist Tuesday morning where he was killed.
Police detectives recovered G-3 rifle believed to belong to a police officer killed in a past attack by Somalia Al-Shabaab returnees. Several round of ammunition, several phones, seven identity cards and jihadists materials were also recovered.
Police also pursuing at least five of his accomplices who were staying with him but escaped.
Gunning down of Shosi who was known for carrying out attacks while dressed in a hijab is a win against terror.
