At least 2,000 terrorists have been killed in Syrian military and Russian airstrikes military operations against terrorists’ positions in Syria’s northern city of Aleppo, Russian media has reported.
Report by IRNA on Monday 8th August 2016 and backed by a Russian state television channel indicate that in a period of two weeks, some 2,000 terrorists from Daesh (ISIS) and al-Nusra Front which has changed its name to Fateh al-Sham Front have been killed in Syrian and Russian military operations.
According to the report, many terrorists were also injured in the operation which also destroyed amoured vehicles and terrorists’ weapon depots.
The operations have seen vast areas in southern part of Aleppo which has been under the control of the terrorists liberated.
The terrorists who have been cornered have resulted in using civilians as human shields in parts of Aleppo still under their control.
The terrorists have also been targeting the civilians attempting to flee city through the humanitarian corridors set up by Syria and Russia.
