Simba Energy will start on site reconnaissance of its 100% interest in Block 2A – Kenya April.
The company is a famed oil exploration industry player with interests in different countries besides substantive experience in oil exploration.
Simba Energy has been exploring oil in Kenya after previous seismic data indicated possibility of oil deposits on Block 2A.
Simba Energy is a Vancouver, B.C. based oil and gas-exploration company focusing on under-explored overlooked basins in its pursuit of hydrocarbon opportunities in Africa (currently Kenya, Liberia, Guinea, Mali andGhana).
Simba Energy has began shoring in crew and equipment and final consignment is due May 2012.
The company will commence an extensive process to acquire seismic survey data on Block 2A onshore Kenya.
According to Simba Energy director, James W. Dick, Simba’s planned survey will cover a portion of two basins within Block-2A.
On this Block, Simba Energy has already identified 2 exploration leads based on existing 2D seismic data.
The company will use either 3D, 2D or gravity gradiometer
