Kenya’s Interior Cabinet Secretary, Major General (Rtd) Joseph Nkaissery today (Wednesday 27th April 2016) received the new choppers for National Police Service.
The Police choppers are aimed at enhancing mobility and security across the country.
Kenya government also acquired 25 mines resistant ambush protected vehicles for police aimed at boosting war on terror.
According to CS Nkaissery, the armoured vehicles and the new choppers will minimize police risks while on duty in volatile and militant prone areas.
The National Police Service is also expected to receive 500 leased vehicles by May 2016 in a move aimed at boosting police efficiency in figting crime and terrorism.
