3rd December 2015, a heavy shooting ensued in San Bernardino in California leaving 14 people killed and scores wounded.
Heavily armed man and woman dressed in camouflage fatigues and covered their faces with masks terrorized the city on Wednesday morning at a social services center.
The center that has a capacity of about 200 people was decorated for a holiday party and serves people with disabilities in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
Police immediately launched on a manhunt which culminated into a shootout that left the two suspects dead as reported by police officials.
The shooting rippled across San Bernardino, causing panic and chaos. The attack is reported to be the worst shooting since the assault on an elementary school in Newtown which happened three years ago.
The slain two suspects have been identified as Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and Tashfeen Malik, 27 according to Chief Jarrod Burguan of the San Bernardino Police Department.
Farook was a U.S. citizen and worked as a health inspector for the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, which was hosting Wednesday’s holiday party.
