Friday 7, October 2016: At least 8 people have been killed in Galkayo town after fierce fight erupted between Puntland and Galmudug.
Corresponding media reports from Somalia and cited from local residents and medical officials, fight broke out on Friday when militants from Galmudug launched attacks against Puntland forces base in Garsor village of Galkayo town.
No official statements have beenfrom Puntland and Galmudug administrations in regards with Friday fight.
The Somalia’s two states frequently engage with regional fights with the worst one reported last year whereby at least 40 were killed in the clashes.
Galkayo is divided into two parts, one administered by Puntland and other by Galmudug.
