A truck rigged with explosives crashed into a police training camp in Zliten, Libya on 7thJanuary killing at least 65 people and injuring over 100 people in 400-capacity training camp.
Libyan Interior Ministry issued a statement detailing the incident that involved an explosive-rigged truck that drove through the training facility as the hundreds of cadets were preparing for their graduation ceremony.
Zliten Port is 160km to the east of Libya’s capital Tripoli. This attack is the deadliest in war-torn Libya since ISIS launched they attack campaign in Libya.
Despite no group taking immediate responsibility Islamic State Takfiri has been active in the country with statistics revealing at least 5000 in Libya. The extremists have vowed to take over the largest oil refinery in North Africa, Marsa al Brega.
