The Silab Corps has put the latest casualties’ toll of ISIS militants in Kunar province at least 56.
According to the 201st Silab Corps in a statement, the Afghan Air Force and artillery units of the military pounded on ISIS militant’s positions in Landalam and Digal areas of Chapa Dara district and Kandigal area of Manogi district killing at least 56 militants dead or wounded on Sunday.
At least 43 of the militants were killed and 2 others wounded in Chapa Dara district while 5 others were killed and 6 more were wounded in Manogi district.
Afghanistan Ministry of Defense had earlier confirmed the death at least 43 militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group who were killed in two separate airstrikes conducted in eastern Kunar province.
According to The Ministry of Defense (MoD) in a statement, the airstrikes targeted two training camps of the terror group in Chapara district.
The statement further added that several Pakistani and Uzbek nationals were also among those killed.
