Turkish F-16 warplanes killed 29 PKK terrorists, including four regional commanders in the Zap area of Northern Iraq on December 11, the Turkish military said on Thursday.
The air raids began on Sunday, 12 PKK terrorists hideouts were struck 24 times, military reports further notes. The air raids against the region was done between 08:50-09:40 p.m. local time.
Turkish warplanes took off after receiving credible intelligence report about the terrorist location/targets.
The operation was a clear retaliation to Saturday's PKK attack in Istanbul, which left 44 dead and 155 wounded.
PKK group is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, the EU and many other countries in the world.
