At least 25 Islamic State Central Africa (ISCAP) militants were killed in the ongoing counterterrorism operations in Cabo Delgado (CD). The terrorists were killed in a series of operations in CD by the joint Rwandan and Mozambican troops and the SADC (Community for the Development of Southern Africa) SAMIM force.
Intelligence reveals that the terrorists were killed in Naguitengue, Mbau administrative post, Mocimboa da Praia district, on the banks of the Messalo River in Muidumbe district, and in Quissanga district. RDF killed at least twenty and the rest were neutralized by SAMIM as public approval and trust for the allied forces continues to rise seeing as, since the deployment, the might of the terror organization has been greatly diminished.
In addition to the killing of the terrorists, vehicles and motorbikes, documents, and equipment such as computers, mobile phones, and electricity generators were seized from the fighters who are believed to be part of a group that was on a food-seeking mission for the group that has since gone into hiding.
