Afghan security forces conducted a series of airstrikes and special operations in various provinces in the past 24 hours killing at least 22 terrorists.
According to Afghan military officials, the Special Forces killed a Taliban militant during a patrol in Almar district of Faryab.
The officials further added that the Special Forces killed 5 Taliban terrorists and destroyed a cache of weapons in Nowzad district of Helmand.
The security forces also conducted an airstrike in Kajaki district of Helmand which killed 5 Taliban terrorists and destroyed assortment of weaponry .
Addirionally, the Special Forces arrested 4 Taliban terrorists during an operation in sepra district of Khost province.
The security officials also added that an airstrike killed a Haqqani network terror operative in Maidan Shahr district of Wardak and a separate airstrike in Achin district of Nangarhar destroyed a large cache of weapons.
The security forces also conducted airstrikes in Sholgarah district of Balkh province which killed 10 Taliban fighters.
