A 19-year-old man was arrested in Queen, New York for allegedly planning an attack in the name of ISIS. The man is said to have texted undercover agents saying that he planned to conduct a terror attack in the name of ISIS in Queens.
The 19-year-old is a Queens resident who was born in Pakistan and is alleged that he was inspired by ISIS and planned to conduct a stabbing or bombing attack in Queens. He was also under surveillance by law enforcement and only just seemed to accelerate as he did not seem to pose any danger to the public previously.
Cases of ISIS-inspired planned attacks in the US and other Western nations are on the rise since the fall of ISIS-Central in Iraq and Syria. It is important to note that ISIS propaganda media has been advocating for such lone-wolf attacks against its enemies abroad.
