The Syrian army on Monday performed an intense military operation on terror groups in Syria killing 19 ISIL members and even destroying their arms and ammunition.
The operation took place in various parts of Syria but the greatest win for the Syrian army was at Deir Ezzor, the seventh largest city in Syria, where 19 terrorists were killed and scores injured following the attack.
Among the dead ISIL terrorists were Ahmad al-Knadi, Tarek al-Alu, and Abboud al-Hussein as identified by the Syrian army.
The operations at Daraa, a city in southwestern Syria north of the border with Jordan led to the killing of two terrorist leaders linked to the al-Nusra Front. This group has been silently rising in Syria and as analysts say, it might soon overtake ISIS if the Syrian army fails to act fast.
The operation did not spare self-claimed leaders of Takfiri terrorist organizations between Maaraba and Busra al-Sham city. The Syrian military forces also managed to destroy a missile launching pad in the area and a bulletproof vehicle equipped with a heavy machine gun in the western neighborhood of the city, together with the terrorists manning it.
