A series of airstrikes by the Afghanistan security forces has left at least 18 Taliban militants dead and several others injured. The airstrikes were conducted in Ghor, Uruzan and Kandahar provinces.
Military officials said airstrike killed 12 militants in Dowlatyar district of Ghor province in the central parts of the country. Another airstrike in Shaid-e Hasad district of Uruzgan killed 3 Taliban militants, the officials said, adding that a similar airstrike killed 3 more Taliban militants in Khakrez district of Kandahar.
While the Taliban is yet to comment on the same, such campaigns against the terror organization have been picking up the pace to ensure that the militants do not take over territory and wreak havoc on the already fragile security state in the herein mentioned provinces in Afghanistan.
