Cameroonian Army spokesman Colonel Didier Badjeck on Tuesday 2nd December 2015 announced the killing of at least 100 Boko Haram militants and the rescue of over 900 hostages by the army near the Nigeria border.
The Cameroonian army carried out the elaborate operation with the help of allied forces under the joint task force against Boko Haram.
This is one of the biggest successes recorded by the Cameroonian Army since it embarked on a counterterrorism efforts against the Nigerian-based Boko Haram and the Islamic State affiliate in the West African Region.
Cameroon has in the past few months been a target of many Boko Haram attacks orchestrated by suicide bombers as well as ground attacks since she volunteered her troops to the 8700 strong multi-national joint task force.
