An Al-Shabaab operative on Thursday 12th September 2019 defected from the terrorist group in Hudur town in Southwest region of Somalia.
The terror operative identified as Yarow Hassan Aden surrendered to government forces in Hudur town and handed over his rifle.
Al-Shabaab foot soldiers continue to denounce the Al-Qaeda branch in Somalia over poor and hostile conditions within the terror camps. The group’s top and mid-level commanders only give directives and never accompany fighters in the battle zones where many have been killed.
Most of the terror operatives who have in the past surrendered have narrated of horrifying experience fighting for Al-Shabaab including; going for days without food, executions, spying suspicions and poor pay among other reasons.
