The recent attitude portrayed by the United States towards efforts to counter radicalization in Islamist- plagued countries attest to the blaring truth that the US does not care anymore what comes of threats by the extremists.

Sabahionline content was instrumental in sowing discord inside Somali terror group al-Shabaab and inside the Muslim Youth Center, a Kenyan organization that recruits Shabaab members.
A more sober perspective on the US move on the powerful websites however gives the fight against extremists a mammoth advantage. It would be an immense blow on the radical Islamist group to lose a platform where they hang the online audience on their meager achievements.
It is equally an unimaginable blow to Sabahi followers, many of whom are Al-Shabaab militants and sympathizers, whose pleasure having been repeatedly exposed to Sabahi messaging comes to a rude halt.
