
Thursday 5th November 2015, UK through their Foreign Secretary, Philip Hammond issued a travel advisory to its citizenry to and from Egypt through Sharm el-Sheikh Airport .
Philip Hammond speaking to reporters to confirmed that Britain reached to a decision and is warning against all but essential travel to and from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
The decision to issue the travel advisory is due to the government’s belief the downing of the Russian Airbus over the Sinai Peninsula could have been caused by an explosive device.
Velayat Sinai militant are linked to Islamic State and are responsible for causing terrorisms activities in Sinai Peninsula.
The UK Foreign Secretary added that the change will have an impact on the economy of Egypt but stressed the safety of British nationals must come before anything else.
