U.S. issued travel advisory against Ethiopia following recent anti-government protests that have rocked some parts of the country.
In a statement Friday, American citizens were advised on non-essential travel to Ethiopia.
Citizens were advised to avoid areas where violent clashes between government forces and protesters have taken place pointing singling out regional states of Amhara and Oromia.
The statement stressed on the need for the U.S. citizens in Ethiopia not to be involved in unrests, demonstrations and large gatherings.
