Latest military reports from Somalia indicate that U.S. Forces and their allied Somali Special Troops using two helicopters raided the residence of Somalia first President Aden Abdulle Osman Daar, popularly known as Aden Adde.
The joint military troops raided his farm near Al-Shabaab-held town of Janale town, about 90 kilometers northwest of Mogadishu.
Official communication on what prompted this raid has not been issued.
Aden Adde, was the first President of Somalia, serving from July 1, 1960, to June 10, 1967. He died in hospital on June 8, 2007, at the age of 98.
