Latest military reports from Somalia indicate U.S. and Kenyan airstrikes continues to bombard Al-Shabaab bases in Somalia.
According to Pentagon spokesman Captain Jeff Davis, the aerial raids which started on Monday will continue until the militant’s camps in southern Somalia are destroyed.
The bombardments have been intensified in Yoontoy, Abdi Dhore and Janay Abdalla villages, some 20 kilometers north of the strategic seaport city of Kismayo.
U.S. military carried out drone attack on Monday on Yoontoy in the outskirts of Kismayo city, where they targeted Al-Shabaab base. 12 Al-Shabaab militants were killed, Pentagon reports confirmed.
Military fighter jets belonging to Kenyan air force serving with AMISOM have killed dozens of Al-Shabaab in Southern Somalia in airborne attacks aimed at decimating Al-Shabaab insurgency.
