U.S. Air Force fighters and Army’s Apache helicopter gunships have attacked and killed over 200 Taliban militants in the ongoing counterterrorism operations in Ghazni over the past several days.
The military assault comes after Taliban militants launched a massive attack on the Afghan city less than 100 miles from Kabul.
U.S. Air Force fighters supported the Afghan forces to conduct clearing operations in the city while AH-64 Apache helicopters from the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Combat Aviation Brigade provided close-air support for Afghan forces on Friday, Sunday and Monday.
