Two Al-Shabaab assassins have been arrested in Beled-Hawa over a botched assassination on an elder, Somalia security officials have confirmed Wednesday.
In past months, Al-Shabaab has assassinated a number of traditional and security officers.
Security forces apprehended assailants at Golan-height neighbourhood of Beled-Hawa town following tips off by members of the public.
According to Hassan Osman Ali, a security official in Beled-Hawa town, the suspects attacked a residential house of famous elder.
The two who were armed with pistols raided the house of elder Musa Ali Garad, fortunately, the elder was around.
The officer pointed out the suspects have taken into custody where they are undergoing interrogation.
