Two explosions heard in the Uganda’s capital, Kampala. Local reports indicate the explosions have happened at Kooki Towers, Opposite Central Police Station in Kampala. A number of cars burnt following the explosions. Police at the scene taking action. Number of casualties not yet available.
Emerging details further indicate that the first explosion went off at city square and minutes later another one exploded at the Parliament Avenue hitting the Jubilee Insurance Building that also houses the Inspector General of Government offices. Parliament also suspended after twin explosions.
Uganda has been a target for terror attacks linked to the DR Congo Islamic State operatives.
