
Sunday 4th October 2015, Turkish fighter jets carried out airstrikes on PKK militants targets in both Turkey and in northern Iraq.
According to Turkish General Staff, PKK hideout bases in the mountains together with their underground ammunition depots were completely destroyed in the Sunday raids.
The Turkish F-16 fighter jets hit the hideouts and the underground ammunition for PKK Takfiris in the mountainous areas of Metina and Qandil as well as in the towns of Sina and Haftanin in northern Iraq.
The General’s statement indicated that two F-4 2020 fighter jets also hit 11 militants’ targets in the southeastern province of Hakkari.
Turkey, U.S. and EU have established PKK as a terrorist organization. The outfit in the past few months has renewed its armed campaigns against Turkey.
In response Turkish government has intensified its intensive counter-terrorism operations against PKK camps both at home and in northern Iraq, including the Qandil Mountain and in addition by striking Daesh in Syria.
