Since the introduction of aerial drones by Turkey in the war against PKK terrorist’s organization, 72 terrorists have been killed in one province according to defense minister Fikri Isik.
In a Twitter post on Monday, the defense minister revealed that the toll since Bayraktar TB2 armed unmanned aerial vehicle were introduced in the province of Hakkari, a mountainous province bordering Iraq and Iran, 72 PKK terrorists have been neutralized and their hideouts destroyed.
Bayraktar TB2 armed unmanned aerial vehicle is produced by Turkish firm Baykar Makina, the drone has a range of more than 150 kilometers (90 miles) and can fly at a maximum altitude of 6,800 meters (22,500 feet).
It is armed with MAM-L laser-guided missiles made by Roketsan, another Turkish company.
The PKK — listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU.
