On Friday 26th June 2015, a gunman disguised as a tourist opened fire at a Tunisian beach hotel with a weapon he had hidden in an umbrella, killing at least 37 people. Most of the victims were British tourists.

Coming at a time of Ramadan celebrations, Muslim Clerics have condemned the government decisions saying that that they will greatly affect the celebrations.
The Mosques closed however have been suspected by Tunisia intelligence sources to have a connection with terror cells thriving in the country.
