Thailand Coup, Military Takes Power to Help Political Transition


The Royal Thai army staged a coup today ending the political problem in Thailand but sent wrong signals to the booming tourism industry.

Military officials have so far issued statements confirming that Thai tourism industry is safe and stable dispelling fears of a crash.

The military, in a televised statement said they had taken control of the country to restore order and start the process of enacting reforms.

Thai formerly known as Siam has underwent a violent political weather for nearly a decade with politicians unrelenting from their campaigns.

The political problem in has badly affected the Asian country economically put its tourism industry at risk.

A nationwide curfew has been announced 22:00 to 05:00 by the military

The military has detained politicians and members of the street protests.
