Tammy Jo Andreycak has been sentenced to 15 years in jail for faking the defunct soft drinks maker Le-Nature financial records.
Pennsylvania soft drink maker Le-Nature was closed down and its officials arrested by authorities for fraud several years ago.
Tammy Jo jail term was a shock to her according to officials relevant with the case; She hoped to get a fair trail or judgment, something like probation and house arrest, they pointed out.
Jo Andreycak, 44 pleaded guilty to wire fraud in 2008 before she started to cooperate with government officials in the Le-Nature investigations.
Tammy Jo Andreycak pleaded guilty to wire fraud, bank fraud, conspiracy and filing a false tax return when she was an executive with Le-Nature.
The fraud was an effort to hide wrongful activities of the company and was facilitated by the company founder Gregory Podlucky.
Gregory Podlucky was handed a 20-year jail term after pleading guilty to the fraudulent acquisition of $800 million in financing by overstating the company’s revenues besides spending the money in lavish lifestyle.
Tammy Jo Andreycak was an accounting-director-turned-government witness at Le-Nature will serve a 5-year jail term and 5 years probation after jail.
