Suspected IED Bomb Found in Nairobi’s Eastleigh

A suspected IED bomb has been recovered in Nairobi’s Eastleigh on 11^th street , second avenue according to the latest security briefs.

A team of bomb experts have already arrived at the scene where they are examining the metallic device suspected to be an IED.

Initial reports from Starehe CID boss, Kiberenge Seroney, a woman is alleged to have dropped an object wrapped in a paper bag and when police conducting their patrols order her to stop she fled.

Police secured the place until the bomb experts arrived

The incident happened on Tuesday 12^th January 2016 at around 1 a.m.

The militants usually target crowded places to cause massive casualties when the IED bomb detonates and Eastleigh is a major target citing its a busy business surburb.
