Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo on Tuesday 28/3/2017 was scheduled to travel to Jordan ahead of Wednesday 29/3/2017, annual Arab League Summit.
President Farmajo left Mogadishu for Amman after receiving an official invitation from the King Abdullah of Jordan.
The summit will be attended by head of Arab States and are expected hold talks on ongoing conflicts in Syria, Libya and Yemen.
During the summit, Somalia President is also expected to highlight about the currents situation in his country, especially security issues and drought crisis that his the country in an effort to push leaders to assist his government avert looming famine situation.
This is Farmajo’s the third trip overseas since his election back in early February 8. Following his inauguration. Farmajo has paid visits to Saudi Arabia and neighboring Kenya, where he attended special IGAD summit in Nairobi last week.
