Angry residents in Mwingi and Wajir have reacted violently to businessmen of Somali origin who they accuse of working with Al-Shabaab terrorists.
Angry locals and workers in the areas have blamed the men on attacks on non-Muslims besides warning that these men were collaborating with Al-Shabaab to plan attacks on them.
In Mwingi, angry residents vandalized Somali owned business in the town.
Intelligence reports from the region show that residents have blocked the Sabrin Bus services to operate in the area.
Our intelligence sources report that angry residents claim that the bus is used to transport suspected Somali militants.
The mobs have stopped any ethnic Somali from boarding the bus to Nairobi.
Intelligence sources confirm that Wajir is safe though hundreds of residents fear there could be impeding attacks.
Many are camped at the Wajir airport which is a military facility and have refused to travel via road.
7 People were recently killed by suspected militants when they were ambushed while hiking on a Miraa truck at habaswein center.
