August 25, the Al-Qaeda branch in Somalia, the Al-Shabaab suffered huge blow in Somali army, multiple offensives conducted in Baidoa locality, southwestern Bay region of Somalia.
Military intelligence reports indicate that the first clash happened at around Daynuunay, about 18 Kilometers outside Baidoa, and at Buurdhuubo.
In Daynuunay, a group of armed Al-Shabaab militants ambushed a Somali army unit on patrol. Gunfight ensued with casualties being reported from both sides. At least nine (9) Al-Shabaab militants were felled during the clash incident.
SNA conducted another dawn offensive on an Al-Shabaab makeshift camp in Daynuunay killing another four terror militants. Several fled nursing gun wounds.
At Buurdhuubo, district in the southwestern Gedo region of Somalia where Al-Shabaab maintains its presence, Somali army backed operations was another seven (7) militants killed.
Al-Shabaab which thrives on propaganda to motivate its brainwashed fighters later on Sunday 26th August 2018 published through its pro-online platforms that it had stormed SNA-FOB near Baidoa town, and killed several soldiers.
