British firm Soma Oil and Gas owned by Michael Howard the former British Conservative Party Leader Michael Howard threatens the stability of the Somali government in Mogadishu.
Intelligence Sources run by Strategic Intelligence reports that an oil exploration deal with Soma Oil and Gas, a UK company threatens to divide the government of President Hassan Sheikh.
Among other deals, the oil concession is quite sensitive and it puts the President and his prime minister Abdiweli Sheikh.
The president has given his close allies in parliament to start proceedings of no confidence on the prime minister.
According to President Hassan Sheikh, the difference existing between him and Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh would be settled at the Somali Federal Parliament.
Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh has sought the annulment of the Soma Oil and Gas petroleum and gas exploration contract among other deals facilitated by the presidents inner circle known as Damul-jadiid.
The prime minister cites corruption as main factor in his push.
