SNA taking position during a clash with Al -Shabaab fightersAfrican Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) has confirmed that its troops supporting SNA forces killed 12 Al-Shabaab fighters in an ambush attack on Monday in Lower Shabelle region.
Though AMISOM’s Twitter feed, the AU mission said its troops and those of allied troops from Somalia army –SNA, conducted an ambush operation on Al-Shabaab fighters who were crossing from KM50 area to Barire district.
AMISOM also said 14 other Al-Shabaab fighters had been injured in the surprise attack.
The joint forces also managed to recovered weapons including AK 47 rifles and IED making materials.
