SNA and AMISOM troops continues to register significant gains against the Islamist terrorist group, Al-Shabaab.
Latest military intelligence brief and reference by open sources in Somalia indicate that Somali Commando units and backed by African Union troops –AMISOM jointly launched a military operation on Tuesday afternoon successfully pushing Al-Shabaab fighters out of Barire in Lower Shabelle region.
Confirming on the recent clashes, Abdullah Wafow, the Km-50 area administrator confirmed to media channels that the allied troops took control the area from Al-Shabaab fighters during an offensive which hugely inflicted losses on militants.
Somali troops and AMISOM soldiers continue to step up the fight against Al-Shabaab, as Somalia enters it crucial and final state of shaping its 10th parliament in Mogadishu.
