At least six Islamic State (IS) suspects were detained Tuesday morning in anti-terror raids conducted in southern province of Adana, a police source has said.
Turkish police conducted raid operation on several addresses in the hours of Tuesday morning and apprehended six Islamic States suspects.
The police used armored vehicles during the morning operation.
The six IS suspects were taken to the Provincial Security Directorate after health checks at the Adana Forensic Medicine Unit.
Three police officers were succumbed in an explosion last month as they raided an address linked to IS terrorists in Gaziantep, southern Turkey.
The Islamic States terrorist group is being targeted in Syria by Turkey.
In August launched an operation codenamed ‘Operation Euphrates Shield’ aimed to clear Islamic States terrorists from the border region.
