Shadi Marwan al-Sa’ad, a senior commander of the Al-Nusra front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board), was reportedly killed in the Syrian Army operation in Yarmouk Refugee Camp on Monday night.
The key Al-Nusra field commander, was killed alongside several other fighters in gun battle with the Syrian army men in Sahat al-Rijeh flank in Yarmouk Refugee Camp in the Southern part of Damascus province.
During the operation, the Syrian army soldiers managed to seize control over three buildings in Zalikheh area in al-Tazamon region after fending off the ISIL terrorists from their positions.
Also, the army’s artillery and missile units and aircraft have been bombarding ISIL’s positions in Yarmouk Camp and Hajar al-Aswad.
Several tunnels and trenches of the terrorists have also been destroyed in the night air raids in a region between al-Tazamon and Yalda regions.
Al-Nusra Front has been the official Al-Qaeda branch in Syria.
