Crime:Wednesday 3rd December 2015, a security officer was killed by unknown assailants in Dharkenley District, Somalia.
The gunmen opened fire at the security officer who was attached to a local toll station in Dharkenley locality before fleeing.
The armed gang reportedly approached the officer now identified by police as Salah Arab Masjid Salama near his duty station.
Security agencies arrived at the crime scene to begin on with investigations though the Al Qaeda affiliated group in Somalia is known to target government security officers as well as AMISOM peacekeepers.
Hit and run killings recently have become rampant in Dharkenley and Al Shabaab militant group is believed to be behind the attacks.
