OSINT SUMMARY

A Kenyan Al-Shabaab defector Subira Sudi Mwangole was tragically on Thursday shot dead by Al-Shabaab operatives in Kwale area, Kwale County.

Approximately 10 jihadist dot rounded Sudi’s house, broke in and shot the defector dead. Two other people residing in the house were also injured.

Sudi joined Al-Shabaab in 2008 and went to Somalia for training and returned to Kenya the following year (2009).

Following an amnesty, Subira Sudi surrendered himself to the government of Kenya on February 2016.

He was debriefed by Anti-Terrorism Police. He revealed how Al-Shabaab operates.
